You receive earnings of 35% of the gross price of a Work purchased, before any other costs and fees are accounted for. That way you know exactly what you earn from each sale.
For each monthly period with completed sales of your Video Art Works, payments of your earnings for that period are made directly to your PayPal account the following month.

The name of your Gallery is the same as your Display Name on your ArtAvant User Account If you decide that you want to change your Gallery Name you can do so by changing your Display Name in the “Profile” section of your ArtAvant User Account area.
There are several elements on the homepage and throughout the site for displaying Video Art Works on ArtAvant. These elements are populated automatically for the most part using random selection of certain product types such as “Most Recent”, “Other Works”, “Featured Works” “Art Fan Favorites”, “Best Sellers” and “More”. The goal is to provide visitors with an appealing preview of the various types of Works they can buy and an opportunity to sample the goods which leads to more sampling along the way. The more Video Art Works available on the store the smaller the percentage of overall Works presented.. Applying a randomized approach to selection helps spread the spotlight when and where possible.

ArtAvant utilizes pricing of Video Art Works similar to how traditional Video content such as TV Shows, Movies and Music Videos are priced and sold online today.
As a Gallery Artist, you select from a range of prices reflective of the length of your Video Art Work and the type of licensing applied to the purchase. Every Video Art Work for sale on ArtAvant comes with either a Personal Use or Public Display license of use provided to the purchaser. Public Display Videos are priced higher than Personal Use Videos.
The resulting Price for each Video Art Work you sell on ArtAvant is determined by you, on a Work by Work basis, through the pricing parameters you select during the submission process.
As with traditional Video Entertainment services, Video Art Works on ArtAvant are priced affordably and are universally playable across devices to maximize sales, buyer happiness and your overall success.
To sell Video Art Works on ArtAvant, Gallery Artists agree to license their Video Art Works for Personal Use and Public Display in accordance with the terms and conditions of each license. Customers select which license to include during purchase. An ArtAvant account is required to purchase Public Display licensed Video Art Works. See “Terms and Conditions” for complete license information.
Personal Use License:
A Personal Use License included with a Video Art Work is a license to use that Video Art Work for personal, non-public, non-commercial viewing.
Public Display License:
A Public Display License included with a Video Art Work is a license to use that Video Art Work for public performance within commercial establishments and public events. Performance is limited to a single location at a time per Video Art Work purchased.
A Video Art Work performed concurrently at multiple locations requires an additional purchase of the Video Art Work for use in each location. As example of this, a Restaurant with four (4) locations that wants to display a particular Audiovisual Work within each Restaurant location in the same time period requires purchase of four (4) of that particular Audiovisual Work, which can be done in a single payment transaction on the Website.
The retransmission of a Video Art Work that is sent by any device or process (including, without limitation, Television, Cable, Satellite, the Internet) and received in a different place is not permitted. A retransmission is a transmission of a Video Art Work to yet another place.

Sales Tax
ArtAvant is responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting sales taxes, including VAT, US state sales tax, GST, or other sales taxes as applicable. Buyers locations are determined at checkout and when appropriate, the proper amount of tax is added to the transaction and included in sales receipts.
1099-K Tax Reporting
Earnings from the sale of your Video Art Works are deposited directly into your PayPal account. Third-party settlement organizations (TPSOs), such as PayPal, are required to report goods and services transactions paid to PayPal account holders that reach a certain threshold of payment received in annual gross sales on 1099-K forms.
Form 1099-K is an IRS informational tax form used to report payments received by a business or individual for the sale of goods and services that were paid via a third-party network, often referred to as a TPSO or credit/debit card transaction. The IRS requires TPSOs, such as PayPal, to issue a Form 1099-K, which shows the total amount of payments received from a TPSO in the calendar year.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recently changed the payment threshold for 1099-K tax reporting at $5000 for Tax Year 2024 (taxes that are filed in 2025). A $600 threshold is planned to go into effect for tax year 2025 for taxes filed in 2026 and beyond. If you meet the IRS threshold in a given calendar year, PayPal will send you a Form 1099-K.
PayPal account holders that reach the payment threshold in a tax reporting period will be asked to provide tax information like an Employer Identification Number (EIN), Individual Tax ID Number (ITIN), or Social Security Number (SSN), if you haven’t already. See PayPal Sales Reporting for more information.
