Downloading

When Can I Download My Purchase?

You can download your purchase immediately after completing the checkout process. A link will be provided on the Order Thank You page that you can use to download your purchase. A link will also be included in your emailed receipt should you decide to wait and download at a later time.

If you have an account on ArtAvant, a link to download purchases will be available in your account area as well.

I made my purchase and downloaded the Video, where is the downloaded file located?

The downloaded file will be located in the location/folder that is defined in the settings of the device used to download the file.

If you’re using a Web Browser the file will be placed in the location defined in the Browser settings for storing downloaded files, which is typically a folder titled “Downloads”.

Check the devices settings or a particular application’s settings for handling downloads if you are uncertain as to where downloaded files are being stored on the device.

Where are the Web Browser settings for managing downloads?

The settings for handling and managing downloads on Web Browsers such as Chrome, Firefox and Edge can be found by clicking the 3 dots or menu icon in the upper right corner of the Browser and selecting “Settings” in the menu options. Then go to the “Downloads” section within settings, which can be another menu item or a section shown on the settings page. In Downloads settings, define how you want the Browser to handle file downloads based on the options available, such as the default location where downloads are stored.

I get a Prompt asking me if I want to “Save” or “Open” a file after it has been downloaded to my device, which is best to do?

This type of prompt (pop-up notice) gives you the option to “save” the file to the device’s default location designated for downloads or another location of your choosing. The option to “open” the file will play the file from a temporary storage location without saving it to the device. It is best to “save:” the file so that is available for you whenever you wish to enjoy it in the future without needing to re-download it.

Download Times Will Vary.

When you buy a Video Art Work the amount of time it takes to download your purchase will vary depending on the file size and your Internet connection.  A broadband connection is required for making video purchases.

Files with longer playing times take longer to download than files with shorter playing times. The faster the download speed from your Internet Service Provider the faster the download will be. Video Art Works on ArtAvant are very high quality files for great display on the largest of screens and take longer download times than when downloading photos, music or lower definition video. Please be patient while downloading, the wait is well worth it.

How much storage space is needed for the download?

Video Art Works on ArtAvant are High Definition Video files which require more storage than Standard Definition Video files or Music files. The file size of each Video Art Work is shown throughout the buying process. Adequate storage space on your device or connected external storage is needed to download purchases.

How many times can I download Video Art Works I’ve purchased?

A unique download link is generated for each purchase. Each link is limited to 3 download attempts over a 90 day period.

The multiple download attempts can be used if:

  • You want to download files to different devices.
  • The device you saved the file on becomes damaged or lost and you need to re-download it.
  • You need several attempts to download the entire file due to an interrupted Internet connection or other factors.

What file format will my download be?

H264 High Definition Video

The download file will be the same format that you selected when you purchased it. All Video Art Works are H264 High Definition files which are universally compatible with today’s media players, devices and applications in resolutions of either 4K Ultra HD or 1080p Full HD. Some devices may not yet be 4K Ultra HD ready, so you will want to confirm that your device can play 4K HD files before purchasing that format.

Vertical Video Art

In addition to traditional Horizontal Video Art files, you can also purchase Vertical Video Art files for display on vertically oriented screens. Vertical screens run small to large, from Smartphones to Tablets to Flat Screens turned on their sides to Digital Display Monitors in lobbies, hallways, storefronts and more. Vertical Video Art files on ArtAvant are produced in the same H264 High Definition formats as the Horizontal videos in either 4K Ultra HD or 1080p Full HD.

I love the Video Art I purchased can I share my download with a friend?

Downloaded files are licensed for use by the original purchaser only. Sharing a downloaded file with others is a violation of the licensing agreement and not permitted and most importantly undermines the success and financial security of the Artist which could prevent them from creating more Works in the future. What a loss that would be.

We understand the desire to share something Good with others that you think would make life a little better and brighter. Who wouldn’t want more Video Art in the world to help with that? This is part of the reasoning behind the affordable pricing of Works on ArtAvant, to make the Art more obtainable for anyone who wants to have and enjoy it for Personal Use or Public Display. So share the Good News about the Video Art you bought, about the Artist who created it and about ArtAvant…to benefit all involved…in a Good Way.
